A – We offer oral sedation, IV sedation and nitrous oxide. All 3 methods are very effective depending on the type of treatment that you need. A consultation with your dentist will answer any questions you have concerning each type of sedation and he can let you know which sedation method would be best to meet your needs.

A – Oral sedation is taken in pill form or a tablet is placed underneath the tongue. Sedation will begin to take effect within minutes and will last for several hours. You will feel relaxed and at ease, without being bothered by surrounding smells and sounds. Following your appointment, you will need a driver to bring you home as the sedation may take some time to fully subside.

A – Often referred to as laughing gas, nitrous oxide is given through a mask that is placed over the nose. Sedation will take affect almost immediately, allowing you to feel completely relaxed throughout the entire visit. The sedation can be stopped at any time and the effects will begin to wear away as soon as the mask is removed.

A – This type of sedation is administered through an IV. IV Sedation is most commonly used for lengthy or more extensive procedures. Our highly trained staff will monitor you throughout your entire appointment and you will sleep through the entire visit! The effects will take some time to wear off once the IV is removed.
